The most efficient inserts in the world of Endodontics.
In the endodontic field, thanks to technological advancement, the combination of ultrasound-surgical microscope has become almost essential.
The importance of instrumentation nowadays has reached strategic levels: the qualitative improvement of ultrasonic sources and the existence of new tips go hand in hand with the most refined and continuously improving endodontic techniques.
In particular, ultrasonic inserts designed for endodontics are essential for deepening, widening ducts, removing calcifications and filling material, as well as in the important activation-irrigating action.
To offer a precise but quick overview of the choice of these tools (expert advice), Carlo De Giorgi collaborated with Dr. Roberto Fornara.
A professional with twenty years of experience, Dr. Fornara focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of severely compromised dental elements.
At first active partner and witness of the values of the SIE (Italian Society of Endodontics), the most important scientific society of endodontics in Italy and one of the most influential in Europe, today he holds the position of president.
In addition, he is part of the ESE, Certified Member of the European Society of Endodontology, and Certified Speaker of the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS).
N.B Where work is required in depth in the canal, the use of the microscope is always recommended and required.
The model – ED3D
Used for finishing walls in access cavities, relocation of canal entrances, removal of small calcifications. 12mm diamond coating.
General informations:
– autoclavable 134 ° C
– compatible with SATELEC® scalers (ED3D) – SIRONA® (ES3D) – EMS® (E3D)
The model – ED5D
The ED5D is useful for the search for calcified canal entrances within the coronal third, relocation of entrances, calcification removal. Also useful in removing materials from canals during retreatments in the coronal third. 10mm diamond coating.
General informations:
– autoclavable 134 ° C
– compatible with SATELEC® scalers (ED5D) – SIRONA® (ES5D) – EMS® (E5D)
The model – ED12D
Indispensable in the removal of chamber calcifications, as well as very useful in the preparation of floor perforations, and in the cleaning of clastic cavities in case of pathological reabsorption at the cervical level. Ball diameter 1.1 mm.
General informations:
– autoclavable 134 ° C
– compatible with SATELEC® (ED12D) – EMS® (E12D)
The model – ED14
The ED14 ultrasonic tip is perfect for preparing and / or removing broken files within the middle third, and for removing fiber posts.
General informations:
– autoclavable 134 ° C
– compatible with SATELEC® scalers (ED14) – SIRONA® (ES14) – EMS® (E14)
The model – ED14D
The ED14D is useful for the removal of filling material within the middle third, for the removal of fiber posts, as well as for the removal of separate files in the middle third. Unlike its “sister” ED14, it has a diamond coating for 15mm.
General informations:
– autoclavable 134 ° C
– compatible with SATELEC® scalers (ED14D) – EMS® (E14D)
The model – ED17
The ED17 ultrasonic tip is used for finishing walls in access cavities.
Point conceived and designed with a wide “cutting power”: dry operation (without water) recommended, remembering to pay close attention to the working time (very short).
Grooved tip for 8.7 mm.
General informations:
– autoclavable 134 ° C
– excellent cutting performance
– compatible with SATELEC® scalers
In case of operation without water, a working time of between 5 and a maximum of 10 seconds is recommended, followed by a stop time of 2 seconds.
Then use irrigation to cool the insert every 60 seconds total.
The model – ED18
The ED18 ultrasonic tip is useful for the removal of calcifications and fiber posts within the middle third. Carlo De Giorgi recommends it for dry operations (without water), remembering to pay close attention to the very short working time. Grooved tip for 7.8mm.
General informations:
– autoclavable 134 ° C,
– excellent cutting performance
– compatible with SATELEC® scalers
In case of operation without water, a working time of between 5 and a maximum of 10 seconds is recommended, followed by a stop time of 2 seconds.
Then use irrigation to cool the insert every 60 seconds total.
The model – ED60
The ED60 is essential for the ultrasonic activation of irrigants in total safety, without the risk of altering the canal anatomy.
General informations:
– compatible with SATELEC® (ED60), EMS® (E60) scalers
– recommended for use on approximately 30 – 50 channels
